Nairo Alexander Quintana Rojas was born in February 04 of 1990. He was born in Tunja, Boyacá. His father, Luis Quintana and his mother Eloísa Rojas, they are peasants, Nairo is a humble family.

He began the carrer of cycling in 2009, he is currently a member of the Movistar Team, where also runs his brother.

Nairo is the best Colombian cyclist in history, It is winner of the giro d'Italia, one of cycling races more important in world.

He has won the tour of the porvenier in the year 2010, the lap to Murcia, lap to the Basque country, the lap to burgos and is runner-up in the tour de France where finally repeats podium, winner of the vuelta a España.
